We’re pleased to announce that we have secured funding for the Maine Harvest Bucks program for the 2018 season. Stay tuned for more details, but in the meantime, our 30+ farmers’ markets can now move full steam ahead in operating the program this year. This is welcome news, as the summer market season gets underway.
Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB) is already off to a strong start this May. More than half the farmers’ markets already have their programs underway. We’re hearing positive feedback from markets that are already finding new customers and reuniting with familiar faces. Some of our big markets are reporting a higher than average number of shoppers using the program in May. These are all sure signs of a strong program that is having an impressive impact at Maine farmers’ markets.
Funding for Maine Harvest Bucks is now secured. MFFM is looking ahead to a strong season promoting MHB and supporting our partner markets. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and at maineharvestbucks.org for more updates throughout the year.
