By season’s end 35 farmers’ markets throughout the state will be operating Maine Harvest Bucks SNAP bonus programs to make Maine-produced foods more accessible to low-income shoppers. We are endlessly grateful to the market members, volunteers and local partner organizations who help make these programs a success!
Each market has an assigned MHB/SNAP program point person who has been receiving periodic email updates from us since late winter. Many of these updates have included tools, templates and tips to make your program the best that it can be for shoppers and for you – the folks who make it all possible. Now you can find all of these resources – with more being added regularly – on our Maine Harvest Bucks resources page.
Currently included are:
- MHB press release template, July 2016
- MHB logos in various formats for easy download (as well as other relevant logos and promotional material guidelines)
- MHB promotional material templates that you can format to your liking (or ask us for the InDesign files or let us know if you need help customizing)
- Record-keeping tools, such as shopping sheet templates and vendor reimbursement record spreadsheets that we can help customize for your market
Although July is upon us, it’s never too late to take a new marketing approach or to streamline the back-end of your program! Given that Maine Harvest Bucks is a produce-focused incentive program, late summer is prime time to get the word out and make this the most successful SNAP incentive year yet in the state of Maine.
