REAP Grant Program Deadline March 31st

This is a reminder that the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant application competition deadline is less than  a month away! It is the close of business (4:30 p.m.) on March 31, 2017. A few things to remember:

  • We need only one hard copy original of the application and supporting materials.
  • No emailed applications will be accepted.
  • The application materials can be submitted to me at the Bangor State Office or to Cheryl/Stacey at the Presque Isle Area Office (addresses below). No other locations can receive applications.
  • Make sure we receive the application (not just post-marked) by 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday, March 31st. If an application is received after that time it will be held for competition in the next round (fall of 2017).

If your application is for a renewable energy system (solar, wind, biomass, hydro, etc.) and it is not attached to your business or farm building, please be sure to include a detailed map with theexact location shown (solar array, wind mill, hydro dam, etc). Color is great, legible is required. Our environmental regulations changed effective April 1st of last year, so we want to be sure to get a jump on any possible issues and this info is needed.
